Three steps to measure for BLOCSY

Step 1: Checking Your Window Recess Depth
Before measuring the width and height, make sure your window recess offers enough space for a smooth, built-in fit.
- Minimum depth required: 1.18 in (3 cm) for secure installation.
- How to measure: From the outer edge of the recess, measure straight to the nearest inner surface this gives you the true depth.

Measuring with Obstructions
Even with a deep recess, certain elements like handles or trims can interfere with the blind’s movement. To ensure a flawless fit:
- Measure the full recess depth from the front edge to the window glass.
- Measure the obstruction depth from the window to the front of the obstacle.
- Subtract the obstruction depth from the recess depth to determine your clear space.
Note: A minimum of 1.18 in (3 cm) of unobstructed depth is required for a smooth and secure installation.

Step 2: Measuring the Width
Because most windows aren’t perfectly square, take three measurements to ensure a precise fit:
- Top of the recess
- Middle of the recess
- Bottom of the recess
Use the smallest measurement it guarantees your blind fits neatly, even at the narrowest point.

Step 3: Measuring the Height
Now, measure the height of your window recess at three points to ensure perfect alignment:
- Left side
- Center
- Right side
Record the smallest value it ensures your blind fits precisely from top to bottom.

Avoid Common Measuring Mistakes
To ensure perfect accuracy, keep these in mind:
- Avoid measuring at an angle: always keep your tape straight and level.
- Don’t bend the tape: even a slight curve can distort the result.
- Leave room for the insulation ribbon: subtract about 1 cm from your final width for a flawless fit.
Final Tips for Accurate Measurement
- Be precise: take exact measurements; if needed, round to the nearest 1/16 inch (or 0.1 cm) for a perfect fit.
- Let us handle the adjustments: just provide the exact width and height, and we’ll take care of any necessary deductions during production.
- Measure from the front of the recess: that’s where the Guard will be installed, so accuracy at this point is ke
